1. Burghope Manor Popular
A beautiful village house set in a peaceful and quiet location. Originally a timber-framed house dating from 1317 with many historic and period features.

Starting life as a two bay hall house open to the roof, this medieval property has seen a number of additions and changes including in the 15th Century the installation of a stone porch over the front door and a huge stone fireplace with a religious inscription believed to come from Archbishop Cranmer's version of the 'Great Bible' he produced for Henry VIII, the discovery of a medieval shield in an old wall (bought by the British Museum and now held in the Tower Armouries) and leading to later additions and the introduction of ornate stone windows taken from the partly-demolished village church in the 19th Century.Burghope Manor, Wilshire If it's something very English you want with the style and comfort that many already know us for, this is just the place for you to relax, enjoy making new friends and tasting great food, while exploring the many delights of the West Country, all within easy reach.
